Cathy was born in Charlotte, North Carolina. Her family moved to the Triangle area when she was a teenager where she graduated from Cary High School. She then attended Lees McRae College for a year before studying finance at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Cathy worked with McKinney, Silver and Rockett in the accounting department and then with Homer Duncan CPA.
Cathy spent the past eight years in colorful Colorado, where she enjoyed skiing, hiking with her English Lab Norman, playing golf and playing with her four precious grandchildren. While living in Denver, Colorado, Cathy obtained her real estate license. She was passionate about helping her clients navigate through the many charming and eclectic neighborhoods of the Mile High City.
Raising her two children in Raleigh, Cathy understands first-hand the first-class education and opportunities the Triangle has for families. Cathy was active in the P.T.A., Junior League, Habitat for Humanity, Prevent Blindness and a Stephen Minister at White Memorial Presbyterian Church. Her love for dogs led her to publish a children's book entitled Big Dog Winnie. Her writings appeared in Oprah magazine under Question and Answers about Norman and his friendly nature.
Being back in her home state, Cathy is looking forward to reclaiming herself to the thriving community she holds dear to her heart. With her real estate experience, many local contacts and knowledge of the Triangle, she easily transitioned into becoming a real estate broker for Hodge & Kittrell Sotheby's International Realty.
