As a broker with Hodge & Kittrell Sotheby’s International Realty, Corey experiences a blend of two of her passions on a daily basis – real estate and art. Corey views the search for a home much like an artist views a blank canvas. She brings her artistic vision, a native’s knowledge of the market and lifelong appreciation for our community to assist her clients in creating their masterpiece – a home, and not just a house.
Corey grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she attended Root Elementary School, Daniels (Oberlin) Middle School, Broughton High School, and Saint Mary’s School. She then attended and graduated from Randolph Macon College in Ashland, Virginia, where she earned her degree in Art Management. Corey then went on to work for the National Gallery of Art where she first became familiar with the Sotheby’s Auction House and its world-class reputation.
In addition to her familiarity with the Sotheby’s International Realty brand, Corey brings experience from her work with Standard Title in Raleigh, which has given her a unique perspective behind the scenes of real estate transactions. Corey’s understanding of complex title work and the extensive network she has built from working with the area’s premier closing attorneys, builders and developers are significant advantages for her clients.
Corey lives in Raleigh with her husband Grayson, a second-generation real estate attorney, their five children and the newest addition to the Russell household, a French Bulldog named Winnie. She stays active in the community through volunteering at her children’s schools, serving in the National Charity League with her oldest daughter and continues to paint in her free time.
