North Carolina born and raised, Abbey appreciates the lifestyle and amenities that the Triangle area offers and loves helping clients settle into this area she feels lucky to call home. Abbey grew up in Goldsboro, a town an hour east of Raleigh, and graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in marketing and public relations. Right after graduating, she dedicated her summer to obtaining her real estate license and interning for Hodge & Kittrell Sotheby’s International Realty. Abbey then received an opportunity at Daniel Ravenel Sotheby’s International Realty in Charleston, South Carolina, where she spent a year as the assistant office manager. Receiving her first taste of the real estate industry in a city with such historical and beautiful homes (and also on the water) was a dream come true. She was able to experience all of the behind-the-scenes work of a real estate transaction and decided she wanted to utilize her North Carolina license and become a broker. As hard as it was to leave the Charleston charm, Raleigh was calling her home.
Abbey was drawn to real estate because she receives fulfillment from navigating clients through every step of the home buying or selling process, which is often one of the largest and most important financial decisions one will make in his or her lifetime. She especially enjoys educating and assisting first-time homebuyers through the process from the first showing to the closing table. She enjoys a fast-paced and people-centric environment, which allows her to thrive in this industry. Also serving as the marketing coordinator, Abbey understands the importance that professional marketing plays in selling a home and how to maximize the reputation and power of the Sotheby's International Realty brand.
As a fourth-generation Tarheel, Abbey enjoys heading back to Chapel Hill frequently for football and basketball games. She grew up spending her summers in Atlantic Beach and enjoys getting back out on the water every chance she gets. She jumps at any opportunity to travel, especially somewhere tropical or snow skiing out west each winter. Abbey is involved in the Junior League of Raleigh and volunteers for Step Up Ministry, which provides career and life skills training to those facing barriers in our community. Abbey lives in between Cameron Village and downtown Raleigh and enjoys walking to restaurants, shops, and fitness studios.
I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Abbey. She was always responsive and accommodating to my questions and needs. Abbey has a fantastic team behind her and I felt support from all sides. You will be in great hands! - Melissa E. 1/4/21
Abbey was a great advocate for us during a really difficult sale! She knew the process well and was quick to research anything she wasn’t familiar with. Great at communicating and staying on top of things throughout the sale! - Jen G. 10/13/20
Abbey assisted me in the purchase of my first home. She was the perfect balance of professional and friendly in guiding me through the search. She made herself very available to answer any questions I had and was extremely patient in explaining each step of the process. Abbey was always flexible when finding times to show me various houses and is very familiar with the Raleigh market. She was able to offer great advice in a competitive market to ensure I got the perfect home without overpaying. While under contract Abbey was able to put me in touch with inspectors and contractors to get quotes and inspections for anything I could think of. She even handled making several of the appointments for me when I was too busy! She ensured I had all the reports and quotes in a timely manner and was happy to share her knowledge when I had questions. I couldn't have asked for a better experience in the purchase of my first home! I would recommend Abbey to anyone in the Raleigh area looking to purchase a home, especially first-time buyers! - Lauren H. 8/4/20
