Benbury Wood, Jr. is a true North Carolina native - born, bred and educated. Benbury has lived between Northeastern NC and the Triangle alternately all of his life, save for a high school stint in Lynchburg, Virginia, where he graduated from Virginia Episcopal School. He went on to graduate from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. A passion for the subject and an enchantment with his home state worked hand-in-hand to foster Ben's love for historic properties and the preservation of North Carolina's treasures, which is evidenced in his dedicated volunteer efforts on behalf of the Cupola House Association and the Edenton Historic Commission. His real estate career spans over twenty years of repeat buyers and sellers who return to use him because of his integrity and faithful work ethic on their behalf. Ben's extensive career has afforded him the opportunity to represent first time homebuyers, seasoned sellers, investors, builder/developers, and all manner of relocation clients from retirees to military to corporate moves. Benbury lives in Raleigh with his wife and their golden retriever, Clyde. When he's not helping clients, he can be found managing a local historic property, digging for finds at estate sales, taking in the vibrant Triangle art scene, and feeding his love of community through volunteer endeavors.
