The Triangle's Most Expensive Home Sales of 2017
We are proud to have six of listings that our agents sold featured in the Triangle Business Journal for most expensive home sales of sold by our agents in 2017.
With the final numbers now in, it looks as though the Triangle saw a sizable uptick in the high-end luxury home market in 2017.
From Hillsborough to Cary, 20 houses sold for $2 million or more last year, according to a Triangle Business Journal review of residential real estate transactions in the 16-county region tracked by the Triangle Multiple Listing Service. This roundup of homes may not be entirely comprehensive as the data does not account for private transactions or delayed filings.
Atop the list of pricey transactions was the $6.35 million sale of a sprawling estate in the Hills of Rosemont neighborhood in Chatham County. Greg Lowe, CEO of Cree, and his wife Diana purchased the home, which has an indoor saltwater pool with a waterfall and totals 14,000 square feet.
Mollie Owen, of Hodge & Kittrell Sotheby’s International Realty, represented the seller in the home sale. Her firm participated in 59 property sales of more than $1 million in 2017, which she called a strong year.
