Each year the Triangle Business Journal publishes a Book of Lists to guide both locals and visitors of the Triangle towards the “best of the best” when it comes to services, food, and more. For many years, Hodge & Kittrell Sotheby’s International Realty has been named one of the Top Residential Real Estate Firms in the Triangle. Out of the 25 agencies mentioned in the book of lists, our company stands as the most established firm having served the Triangle for 52 years and counting.
In 2020, we were ranked 12th out of 25 firms in the Raleigh-Durham market area and four of our agents made the list of Top Residential Real Estate Agents in the area as well. These stats come from an array of factors such as total sales volume and average transaction price. We take immense pride in providing our community and clients with exceptional services and it shows in our results.

More About Our Story:
The company was originally founded in 1968 by Joe’s mother, Nadine Hodge as Nadine Hodge Realty. In 1987, Gilliam and Joe joined together to form Hodge & Kittrell Realtors. Sotheby’s International Realty recognized us as the key player in the local luxury real estate market, and in 2011 we accepted the invitation to join the brand and push our marketing strategy and listing exposure to the next level. In February of 2017, we opened our second office, located on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill, to better serve our clients in the western portion of the Triangle. We’ve grown to a family of over 70, with agents who specialize in all areas of the Triangle. We have agents who’ve traded on the New York Stock Exchange, an agent who used to run the NC Symphony, young agents, seasoned agents, artists, dancers, accountants, athletes, who bring those special talents to offering an exceptional real estate experience and specialize in all areas of the Triangle.
